Palliative care specialists offer crucial assistance to patients and their loved ones, concentrating on enhancing life quality for those facing severe, often life-threatening conditions. Fanshawe's Palliative Care graduate program equips learners with the necessary skills to address the physical, psychological, spiritual, and social requirements of patients undergoing healthcare transitions.
This two-semester Palliative Care graduate certificate, spanning one year, targets international students who have completed community studies or healthcare programs and wish to specialize in palliative care. Throughout the program, participants will strengthen their core understanding, acquire hands-on techniques, and participate in activities that will improve both their professional capabilities and the care they provide to palliative patients.
Through cutting-edge experiential learning opportunities, graduates will integrate this program's components with their existing education to deliver a more thorough, empathetic, and holistic method of improving palliative patients' and their families' quality of life. The program will be mainly conducted through in-person instruction.
