This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program provides comprehensive knowledge of various aerospace systems, aircraft operations, and relevant airworthiness standards and regulations (Transport Canada, FAA, EASA). The curriculum focuses on the AS9100 Quality Management System Standard for aerospace. Students apply Lean Manufacturing principles in a simulated aerospace production environment, solve quality control issues using Six Sigma and DMAIC approaches through interactive Concurrent Engineering processes, and study aircraft mechanical stability and operational controls. During their final term, students tackle an actual aerospace case study to develop optimal solutions for production efficiency.
Participants gain practical experience using aircraft maintenance tools, structural assembly and analysis methods, plus avionics system troubleshooting and installation. They also receive in-depth training on CATIA—an aerospace design software utilized by industry leaders like Boeing, Airbus, and Bombardier—to create new components and reverse-engineer certified parts. This program is tailored for students with an engineering foundation.
