Becoming a Level II dental assistant demands a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal abilities to deliver quality patient care while supporting dentists through various procedures like fillings, crowns, and extractions. Our dental assisting program is ideal for those seeking a rewarding career focused on reliable, patient-focused care.
Within just 10 months of beginning your training, you'll be prepared to enter the profession as a qualified dental assistant. With a 95% employment rate among our graduates, your career prospects are nearly assured.
You'll develop essential practical skills—such as instrument sterilization, material preparation, and procedural assistance—in our modern simulation lab, designed to replicate a real dental clinic.
Guided by experienced instructors in a nurturing, mentorship-driven setting, you'll build confidence throughout your studies. The program includes rotations through specialized dental practices in London and two clinical placements, ensuring you're fully prepared to launch your career. Upon graduation, you'll be equipped to pass the NDAEB Exam and practice as a Level II Dental Assistant, while also qualifying for accreditation with provincial and national dental assisting associations.
Our Dental Assisting (Levels I and II) program trains you to become an entry-level professional, ready to work alongside healthcare providers in diverse clinical environments. Graduates can pursue roles in clinical practice, education, health promotion, administration, or laboratory assistance, meeting both national and provincial industry standards.
OSSD with courses from the College (C), University (U),
University/College (M), or Open (O) stream WITH:
- Any Grade 12 English (C) or (U)
- Mathematics ONE OF:
- Grade 11 Mathematics (U) or (M)
- Grade 12 Mathematics (C) or (U)
- Grade 11 or Grade 12 Biology (C) or (U)
- Grade 11 or Grade 12 Chemistry (C) or (U)
(Note: minimum final grade required for each course is 65)
OR
Academic and Career Entrance Certificate (ACE) WITH:
- Communications
- Core Mathematics

OR
General Arts and Science Ontario College Certificate AND:
- minimum final grade of 'C+' or 65 in the required courses stated above
OR
Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate (GED) WITH:
- The combined Language Arts - Reading AND Language Arts - Writing test results having a minimum average Standard Score of 520 AND:
- Mathematics ONE OF:
- Grade 11 Mathematics (U) or (M)
