The challenging curriculum merges humanities studies with artistic exploration, covering subjects like art history, design history, English, media studies, social sciences, and writing. Unlike other ECU programs where academic courses represent 30-50% of content, they form the core of this degree's credit requirements.

Every course considers your creative practice, introducing current methodologies to enhance your artistic development. This cross-disciplinary structure empowers you to forge your own direction while building meaningful bridges between ideas and execution. You'll learn from distinguished scholars and practicing artists, joining a network of accomplished creators, innovators, and solution-finders equipped with diverse perspectives to make meaningful contributions to visual arts and cultural fields.
