Communication Design is a dynamic and evolving field. In today's intricate world, there's growing need for intentional visual storytelling. This program teaches you to craft compelling visual narratives, messages, and experiences that address contemporary communication needs. Blending theory with practice, you'll examine cultural, historical, technical, and environmental aspects of visual design. These insights, paired with hands-on studio work, will prepare you for a meaningful career in communication design.

Early in the program, you'll complete foundational studio and critical studies courses. As you advance, you'll choose from specialized electives to tailor your design education.

Our program fosters collaboration and examines design ethics across social, cultural, political, and environmental spheres. You'll discover how your work influences everyday design culture while exploring specialized areas like typography, motion graphics, interactive design, information visualization, publication design, and art direction.

Complement your studies with courses in Interaction Design, 2D/3D Animation, Illustration, or Photography. By graduation, you'll have developed an impressive portfolio and the professional skills to begin your design journey.
