As an elevating devices mechanic, you'll take on important responsibilities, and our program equips you with the skills to start your apprenticeship. The expanding construction of high-rise buildings fuels demand in the elevating devices sector, creating more job openings across Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area. As a designated public training provider for this apprenticeship, Durham College prepares you for immediate employment after completing the program. Successful graduates qualify for full exemption from the EDM 636E apprenticeship's classroom components. Additionally, you'll obtain essential EDM-T Safety Training certification required by the TSSA and fulfill the Ministry of Labour's Working at Heights training standards.
