Canada and Ontario are seeing growing demand for paralegals as increasing populations create greater need for cost-effective legal services and justice system access. Approved by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), this program prepares graduates to take the LSO licensing exam. Passing this exam allows graduates to join the LSO as certified paralegal professionals. Paralegals offer legal assistance within defined practice areas. HBPL students study various legal topics including constitutional and Charter law, criminal offenses, contract and tort law, tribunal procedures, small claims court processes, negotiation and mediation techniques, as well as insurance and employment law.
