The Master of Science in Nursing program equips students with advanced skills for careers in research and academia.
Through mentorship, students cultivate critical thinking abilities and gain hands-on experience by collaborating on interdisciplinary research teams. These projects align with the School of Nursing's key focus areas: addressing healthcare needs, serving marginalized communities, promoting health equity, implementing knowledge translation, and improving health systems and workforce planning.
Upon graduation, students will achieve:
Mastery of disciplinary knowledge and its development, including interdisciplinary perspectives
Skills to analyze and synthesize research to build compelling written arguments
Proficiency in research methods for knowledge generation
Effective communication of concepts, findings, and conclusions
Program Structure
Full-time MScN students typically complete the program in two years, while part-time students finish in four years.
