The School of Biomedical Engineering represents a joint initiative between the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Engineering. This program specializes in advancing biomedical device technologies. Students earn degrees by focusing on specialized coursework, completing a research project, and submitting a thesis. Prospective students must specify their desired research focus during the application process.
Admission requirements:
Qualifications for research experience include: a research thesis senior research project or equivalent work experience determined in consultation with the School of Biomedical Engineering.
A minimum mid-B average during the student’s undergraduate coursework (with a minimum average of A- over the last two years) will be required plus demonstrated ability to communicate and write in English (consistent with the entry requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies e.g. TOEFL>600).
