The Managed Landscapes program at Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture in Truro, N.S. equips you for your next steps, whether you plan to enter the workforce immediately after completing your studies or pursue further academic degrees. You'll tackle environmental issues while creatively enhancing landscapes to positively impact communities.
The first-year curriculum focuses on foundational courses, helping you develop expertise in plant recognition, landscape design, and practical construction techniques. This diverse coursework enables you to explore and cultivate your specific passions.
Each term consists of five classes covering varied subjects including insect studies, horticultural technology, and land measurement. During your second year, you can select specialized electives to deepen your knowledge in areas that particularly interest you.
