Confederation College's Early Childhood Education program provides students with comprehensive training in Early Childhood Education principles, child growth, curriculum design, and teaching methods. You'll acquire essential abilities and understanding to create educational activities and play spaces that support every child's growth and education, positively impacting their future. The curriculum explores diverse ECE subjects such as play-based and inquiry-focused learning; successful communication strategies; stages of child development; family collaboration techniques; behavior guidance; and health, safety, and wellbeing practices.
Those completing the Early Childhood Education program find employment across multiple environments like infant care, toddler and preschool services (including daycare and nursery schools); before- and after-school initiatives, kindergarten classes and elementary school settings; specialized education and support services; Ontario Early ON Centers; Head Start initiatives, family assistance programs; home-based childcare operations; parent-child interactive sessions; and medical facilities.
