This graduate certificate program is designed for full-time students with prior technical education, equipping them for dynamic careers in diverse sectors such as mechatronics, advanced robotics, additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, 3D CAD modeling, smart systems, and industrial automation. The curriculum blends theoretical foundations with hands-on training in operating robotic and automated systems through electronics, programmable controllers, computer systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Key practical coursework mirrors our renowned Mechanical Engineering Technology - Robotics and Automation program, covering advanced programming, automation controls, and robotics, culminating in a capstone industrial automation project. Students may choose a co-op option featuring one work term in place of the Guided Career Management course.
