The need for environmental experts capable of crafting innovative solutions to contemporary ecological challenges keeps increasing across Canada and globally. This graduate certificate program addresses the growing requirement for skilled environmental practitioners specializing in contaminated site remediation, risk evaluation, environmental surveillance, regulatory adherence, and enforcement. Designed for college or university graduates, the program strengthens existing technical abilities and qualifications needed for careers in the environmental sector.
The curriculum equips graduates to become pivotal contributors in tackling modern environmental issues. Coursework emphasizes applying current engineering and scientific methodologies to safeguard and sustain the environment across key domains: environmental monitoring and research; site evaluations; contaminated site management and remediation; environmental legislation and compliance; solid and hazardous waste handling; water quality control; air quality assessment; and permitting processes.

Undergraduate university degree in engineering civil chemical geological environmental earth sciences general science environmental science chemistry microbiology or biology environmental studies or planning OR a threeyear diploma from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology CAAT in civil environmental chemical or architecturalconstruction engineering technology
Applicants will be ranked based on an assessment of academic performance grades length and discipline of degreediploma Preference may be given to applicants who have successfully completed a chemistry course at the postsecondary level
6.5 IELTS Academic with no band less than 6.0.
88 TOEFL Effective January 2024 no individual skill less than 22.
