The Career Development Professional program is a one-year, two-term graduate certificate designed to equip students for careers in the career development field. As the employment landscape evolves, new professional opportunities arise to address workforce demands. Career Development Professionals offer guidance on career exploration, skill building, job searching, and career maintenance. This program trains individuals to begin or progress in career development roles such as employment advisors, career specialists, job placement coordinators, or career management experts. Current practitioners may also benefit by obtaining formal training, coaching experience, or pursuing their Career Development Practitioner certification. Graduates fulfill the academic requirements and partial work experience hours needed for certification by Ontario's Career Development Practitioners' Certification Board (CDPCBO).
