Ontario's rapid construction growth has created a strong need for qualified equipment operators. Graduating from the Heavy Construction Equipment Operation program will give you a competitive edge in this field. The curriculum emphasizes practical training, where you'll learn to safely maintain and operate large machinery at either our Guelph or Brantford Airport locations. Your training will also cover compact equipment and paving techniques. Classroom instruction covers essential topics like environmental protocols, soil analysis, concrete and asphalt work, plus surveying and site planning. Upon completion, you'll be fully equipped to launch your career as a heavy construction or paving equipment operator. Program graduates qualify for direct exemption from apprenticeship classroom requirements for three Heavy Equipment Operator specialties (Tractor-Loader-Backhoe, Excavator, Dozer) if you decide to follow that career path.
