Students completing the Electronics, Computer, and Telecommunications Engineering Technician/Technology programs gain expertise in working with electronic devices, computing systems, and communication networks. These skilled professionals serve as technical specialists and innovative troubleshooters. Alumni frequently highlight their appreciation for the creative elements of their work and witnessing project realization. All three programs share a common first-year curriculum, allowing students to transfer between programs after this initial period. Electronics Engineering Technology graduates develop comprehensive capabilities in designing, constructing, testing, and maintaining complete communication systems or individual components. Their extensive electronics training prepares them for diverse industry positions, with specialized expertise in digital signal processing and microwave circuit operations. With embedded systems increasingly replacing traditional components, graduates can achieve circuit functionality through either software programming or hardware implementation. The curriculum emphasizes both mathematical proficiency and teamwork abilities. The balanced approach of 50% laboratory practice and 50% theoretical study gives graduates exceptional hands-on experience with system, software, and circuit applications. An optional cooperative education track offers four sequential work terms.
