The evolving discipline of intelligence analysis constantly evolves to address intricate issues in safeguarding communities, national security, vital infrastructure, and commercial enterprises. The Bachelor of Risk, Threat, and Crime Analysis (Honours) is a four-year honours co-op program designed for individuals passionate about addressing sophisticated security and criminal challenges across diverse sectors using cutting-edge intelligence analysis and investigative methods. With a comprehensive approach that merges intelligence gathering, threat assessment, behavioral studies, privacy concerns, data management, and IT systems, this program prepares graduates for rewarding careers in law enforcement, public security, national defense, or corporate environments. The interactive coursework maintains student engagement through hands-on learning experiences such as case examinations, practical research initiatives, fieldwork placements, paid co-op terms, and utilization of the specialized Risk, Threat, and Crime Analysis (RTCA) Lab. Career opportunities may include roles as: criminal intelligence specialists, investigative analysts, insurance fraud examiners, financial securities investigators, corporate security experts, and risk assessment consultants. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older
A minimum of six (6) Grade 12 U or M level courses with a minimum cumulative average of 65% (Higher averages are often required for admission due to competition for available spaces in the program)
It is recommended that one of the six U or M courses be mathematics (MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) and ENG4U.
Domestic applicants with documents (transcripts) from an educational institution from a country other than Canada must have their documents evaluated for equivalency at an approved provider of credential evaluation services. Applicants to this program require a Comprehensive or Course-by-Course Report.
Applicants with transcripts from institutions where the language of instruction is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency with a minimum test score on one of the following language proficiency tests or equivalent scores from another internationally recognized English language test:

CAEL 70, no sub-test band score less than 60

We offer a language program for students whose English language skills are below the standard required for admission, but all other admission criteria have been met. An applicant will be eligible for admission to the degree program after completion of level 4 of the General Arts and Science - English Language Studies (ELS) program with an overall grade average of 80% and no grade less than 75%. Placement in the ELS program is determined by scores on an in-house English language test or TOEFL or IELTS.
