The Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering emphasizes developing and applying waste management technologies, covering water, wastewater, and air purification systems. Increasingly, municipalities acknowledge the value of eco-conscious engineering, striving to modernize treatment plants, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance environmental evaluation methods. This program provides students with comprehensive knowledge of ecological challenges and policies at domestic and international levels. With Concordia hosting the regional office for the UN's sustainability initiative, learners prepare to lead in sustainable development innovation. Outside lectures, MEng candidates can pursue investigations across diverse environmental engineering fields. Additionally, they may access resources through Concordia's Institute for Water, Energy and Sustainable Systems (CIWESS), which advances studies on novel approaches, technologies, and strategies for preserving water, energy, and natural resources.
