This microprogram provides the foundational theories needed for teaching French as a foreign language (FLE) or as a second language (FLS). You'll develop skills to design and oversee instructional scenarios grounded in contemporary language pedagogy and applied linguistics for FLE/S. The practical component features an observational internship where you can examine and evaluate FLE/S teaching methodologies. Graduate students have access to dedicated spaces including a lounge, computer lab, and research group workroom within the department.

Qualification Requirements

Have a bachelor's degree in education, with a general average of 3.00 (out of 4.3), and wish to obtain training in FSL teaching either to improve their practice or to undertake theoretical reflection, Or
have a bachelor's degree in another field (linguistics, literature, translation, French studies or others), with a general average of 3.00 (out of 4.3), and are seeking either specialized training leading to the job market, or training more theoretical leading to the master's program.

IELTS - 6.5 with at least a score of 6.5 in each of the four components. Scores below 6.0 - No Admission.
TOEFL IBT - 90 or higher and no part under 20 in each of the four components. Scores below 80 - No Admission.
DET - Duolingo English Test - Score above 120 - Score below 120 - No Admission.
