The Graduate Certificate in Chemical Engineering examines real-world industrial research challenges across key disciplines including mass and heat transfer, fluid dynamics, chemical equilibrium, and reaction kinetics. The program curriculum introduces students to core principles while equipping them with practical skills for developing industrial chemical solutions. Students collaborate with faculty to pursue research initiatives through the Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Aerospace Engineering, the Concordia Centre for Composites, and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Additionally, our department partners with the Simone de Beauvoir Institute to enhance gender diversity in engineering programs. The program attracts many career-focused professionals who contribute valuable industry perspectives to classroom discussions.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or the sciences with the Concordia equivalent of a 2.70 GPA on a scale of 4.30. IELTS - Overall score band of 6.5 - Overall score of 6.0 and no part under 5.5. TOEFL IBT - 85 with at least a score of 20 in each of the four components, Overall scores below 75 - No Admission. Duolingo Score (DET) - Score above 115, Score below 110 - No Admission
