Exploring Physics takes you on an adventure from the vastness of the cosmos to the microscopic world of atoms. This field, which delves into the interplay of energy and matter, has captivated brilliant minds for centuries. Modern physicists create laser technologies, engineer medical imaging systems, and pioneer nanotechnology applications. If you're prepared, hone your analytical abilities and embrace curiosity—physics requires both mathematical prowess and an inquisitive spirit.

As a Physics major, you can select the standard Physics track or explore biological applications through the Biophysics specialization. The curriculum provides comprehensive training across physics disciplines, covering mathematical foundations, classical mechanics, electromagnetism, wave theory, quantum physics, and contemporary theoretical concepts.

The program equips graduates with both theoretical knowledge and innovative problem-solving abilities, preparing them for advanced research or professional opportunities in physical or life sciences. The Co-op option offers valuable paid work experience through 12-16 week placements. While maintaining the same academic rigor as regular programs, it includes career-focused course recommendations. Though most positions are in Montreal, students should be willing to relocate within Canada for work terms.

Participants receive individualized supervision and must fulfill academic standards set by the Faculty of Arts and Science and the Co-operative Education Institute to maintain their co-op enrollment status.
