Examine the connections between individuals and their surroundings, from local environments to distant global regions. As an Environmental Geography student, you'll enroll in geography, geology, and biology courses while having the freedom to pursue complementary studies in another discipline.
Through hands-on labs, classroom instruction, and research projects, you'll develop analytical capabilities to evaluate how human actions affect natural landscapes and ecological processes. Throughout the program, you'll also: Investigate the drivers and effects of environmental transformations. Master techniques for collecting and analyzing statistical information. Gain expertise in digital cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Develop skills to create impactful environmental policies. Upon completing your degree, your specialized knowledge and technical abilities will qualify you for roles in environmental planning, ecosystem rehabilitation, impact evaluation, or natural resource administration.
Additional Requirements for Cegep Students: Mathematics 103 or 201-NYA and 203 or 201-NYB and 105 or 201-NYC; Physics 101 or 203-NYA and 201 or 203-NYB and 301 or 203-NYC; Chemistry 101 or 202-NYA and 201 or 202-NYB; Biology 301 or 101-NYA or Natural Science DEC or DEC integre en sciences, lettres et arts. Minimum Cut-off Averages: Minimum cut-off averages should be used as indicators. The cut-off data may change depending on the applicant pool. Applicants who meet the stated minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission to these programs. Quebec Cegep (CRC): DEC; Canadian High Schools: 70 per cent; U.S. High Schools: 2.5; University Transfers: C; International Bacc. (IB): 27; Bacc. Français: 11/20. Science programs require completion of Serie S (Sciences) Bacc. Francais. Make sure you also meet Concordia’s minimum admission requirements. Quebec: You must complete a two-year, pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC (Diplome detudes collégiales). CRC minimum requirements for admission vary between 19.000 and 30.000; however, based on space availability, students below this average may be considered. Other parts of Canada: You must be a high school graduate, depending on which province you are from. Applicant from other countries must have the requirements equivalent to Canada. English language requirements: Direct Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 540 and 576. Conditional Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 505 and 539; MELAB minimum score of 74, 2 on speaking tests; CAEL minimum score of 50; CAE minimum score of C; CPE (advanced qualification for proficient users only) minimum score of C.
