An Associate Degree covers the initial two years of a four-year bachelor's program. In British Columbia, universities guarantee 60 transfer credits for students who complete an Associate Degree, provided they meet each institution's required grade point average (GPA) for admission. Graduates become eligible to apply for Canada's post-graduate work permit.
