The Contemporary Journalism graduate certificate program spans three semesters, examining modern journalism tools, trends, and approaches while prioritizing fact-based, reliable storytelling. Students engage in hands-on learning through courses in news gathering, writing, editing, and visual communication, while also investigating social platforms, mobile innovations (including VR), and mastering multimedia narratives and data-driven reporting.

As digital platforms dominate, smartphones serve as both journalists' workspaces and audiences' primary news sources. This program focuses on leveraging mobile technology—from phones to tablets—for researching, creating, and distributing trustworthy multimedia news content.

The curriculum concludes with career-focused components, featuring a seven-week professional placement where students apply and enhance their abilities within today's dynamic media landscape.
