Centennial College's Mechanical Engineering Technology – Design (Fast Track) program enables eligible college or university graduates to enter directly into the second year (Semester 3) of this three-year advanced diploma program, allowing them to complete their studies in just two years (four semesters).
This college engineering program's Mechanical Engineering Technology – Design (Fast-Track) courses blend theoretical knowledge with practical application, focusing on designing and developing diverse mechanical devices and systems.
Through experiential learning, you'll gain comprehensive training in engineering principles and techniques, including industry-standard computer-aided design and manufacturing (CADCAM) applications. Approximately 25% of the program involves project-based work that mirrors real-world engineering tasks, connecting academic concepts to actual design and production processes. The curriculum also includes an introductory course on finite element analysis using ANSYS software.
After completing the two-year program, you can either graduate or opt for the co-op version (program #3745) to gain professional experience. Qualified students in this track can work two paid terms in the industry, applying classroom knowledge while building professional networks for future career opportunities.
Note: Certain courses may be available through online or hybrid delivery formats.
