This cutting-edge interdisciplinary graduate program in Migration and Diaspora Studies (MDS) enables students to explore pressing global issues including refugee crises, human mobility, migration patterns, and diaspora communities that shape our contemporary world. The program unites scholars and professionals across humanities, social sciences, and public policy to investigate the cultural, societal, economic, and political impacts of human migration and transnational communities. It promotes both historical perspectives and future-oriented analyses of cultural identities, social diversity, integration processes, experiences of exile, collective memory, forced displacement, and refugee populations.
The two-year Master of Arts (MA) provides three academic tracks: coursework-focused, research paper, and thesis options. Additionally, two Graduate Diploma (GDip) programs are offered.
Full-time MA students can participate in a co-op program, while both full-time and part-time students may undertake practicums. These experiential learning opportunities integrate academic knowledge with professional practice, facilitating students' transition from academic studies to career opportunities.
