Psychologists investigate the processes behind human thoughts, feelings, and actions. Their research spans various subjects, including cognition, social interactions, and methods for fostering personal growth and mental health. Through rigorous studies, they uncover insights that deepen our understanding of human psychology, improve quality of life, and spark new avenues for investigation.
Our undergraduate Psychology degrees let students explore key psychological fields within a vibrant research setting. Specializations include Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, and Social-Personality Psychology, plus a Mental Health and Well-Being track. Additionally, all Carleton students can pursue a Certificate in Multidisciplinary Studies in Mental Health and Well-Being.
The knowledge you acquire in psychology will prove valuable across all aspects of life, regardless of your professional path.
Psychology is available as both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. While both degrees share the same psychology coursework, BA electives emphasize social sciences and humanities (like linguistics and sociology), whereas BSc electives focus on natural sciences (such as biology and neuroscience).
