Develop your writing skills with instruction from active writers specializing in diverse fields including poetry (both traditional and digital forms), novels, flash fiction, creative nonfiction, children's literature, ficto-criticism, as well as scripts for radio and short films.
Your first year will introduce you to various writing styles, while your second year allows deeper exploration of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, playwriting, and children's literature.
When you graduate, you'll earn an Associate Degree along with first- and second-year credits in English and creative writing that can be applied toward any of CapU's 15 bachelor's degree programs.
High school graduation
A minimum grade point average of 2.0 (60%) calculated on English Studies 12 or English 12 or English First Peoples 12 and two academic Grade 12 courses

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 83 (internet-based score), 560 (paper-based score).
ELA (English Language Assessment Test): 145
Academic IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5 overall and no one scores less than 6
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment Test): 70
PTE (Pearson Test of English - Academic): 56
DET (Duolingo English Test) - 125 or higher with no sub-score less than 115.
