A single glance at island living reveals CBU's uniqueness—a dedicated institution committed to global betterment. Our deep-rooted passion for innovation and teamwork shapes both our heritage and our forward momentum.
CBU provides an engineering transfer program in partnership with Dalhousie University. Among select Associated Universities, CBU stands out by offering introductory coursework across all six engineering fields: civil, environmental, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and chemical engineering. Students complete the initial two years of the four-year Bachelor of Engineering here before finishing at Dalhousie. The first year serves as a foundation for all disciplines, with specialization choices occurring afterward. Applicants must apply to both institutions simultaneously for their preferred engineering focus.
Year two involves dual registration at CBU and Dalhousie, while years three and four are exclusively at Dalhousie.
An alternative pathway allows students to pair a BSc in chemistry or mathematics with the Engineering Diploma. This option requires an additional CBU year to complete the science degree before the final two engineering years at Dalhousie.
