A single glance at island living reveals CBU's uniqueness—a dedicated institution committed to global betterment. Our rich heritage of innovation and teamwork drives both our present and future endeavors.
CBU provides an engineering transfer program in partnership with Dalhousie University. Among select Associated Universities, CBU stands out by offering introductory coursework across all six engineering fields: civil, environmental, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and chemical engineering. Students complete the initial two years of the four-year Bachelor of Engineering program at CBU before finishing their degree at Dalhousie. The first year serves as a foundation for all disciplines, with specialization choices occurring at year's end. Applicants must apply simultaneously to both institutions for their preferred engineering focus.
In the second year, students maintain dual registration at CBU and Dalhousie, completing their final two years exclusively at Dalhousie.
An alternative pathway allows students to pair a BSc in chemistry or mathematics with an Engineering Diploma. This option involves an additional year at CBU to finish the science degree before two final years at Dalhousie to complete the engineering qualification.
