A single glance at island living reveals CBU's uniqueness—a dedicated institution committed to global betterment. Our rich heritage of innovation and teamwork drives both our present and future endeavors.
CBU provides an engineering transfer program in partnership with Dalhousie University. Among select Associated Universities, CBU stands out by offering introductory coursework across all six engineering fields: civil, environmental, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and chemical engineering. Students complete the initial two years of the four-year Bachelor of Engineering at CBU before transferring to Dalhousie for the final two years. The program's first year serves as a foundation for all disciplines, with specialization choices required at year's end. Applications must then be submitted to both institutions for the selected engineering field.
Dual registration at CBU and Dalhousie occurs during the second year, with the concluding two years spent exclusively at Dalhousie.
An alternative pathway allows students to pair a BSc in chemistry or mathematics with the Engineering Diploma. This option involves an additional year at CBU to finish the science degree before two final years at Dalhousie to complete the engineering qualification.
