The Engineering Transfer program offers an introduction to engineering mechanics and project design, along with a strong foundation in first-year science and English. Upon completion, you'll be prepared to enter the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or Bachelor of Software Engineering (B.S.Eng.) at the University of Victoria (UVic). Alternatively, you can pursue course-to-course transfers to engineering programs at other post-secondary institutions. The program spans 10 months rather than the usual eight, giving you extra time to fully grasp and excel in core concepts. Camosun facilitates a smooth transition from high school to university, with smaller class sizes and increased instructional time fostering greater engagement with instructors and peers. The program consists of three terms over ten months: Terms 1 and 2 at the Lansdowne campus during fall (September to December) and winter (January to April), followed by Term 3 at the Interurban campus in summer (May to June). After building proficiency in math, physics, English, chemistry, and computer science in the first two terms, you'll focus on engineering design and mechanical engineering in the final term. Completing this program at Camosun sets you on the path to earning your Engineering degree at UVic or another university.
