Gain the expertise and abilities required to become a driving force for transformation in the lives of individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. This person-focused, culturally-sensitive curriculum covers addiction studies, mental health conditions, intervention strategies, prevention techniques, counseling methods, and case coordination - equipping you to provide direct support to various populations.

During your final term, you'll undertake a six-week practicum or culminating project, putting your knowledge into practice with actual cases while collaborating with healthcare professionals to assist those dealing with mental health and substance use issues.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree program from an Ontario College or equivalent.
OR

Applicant must possess five years of work experience in a related field (or combination of education and work experience) as judged by the College to be equivalent. Applicants must submit a resume detailing their related experience and a cover letter outlining their competencies and preparedness for the program (any and all post-secondary transcripts must still be submitted).
