The Bachelor of Science in Data Sciences and Analytics is a joint initiative between the Faculty of Mathematics and Science and the Goodman School of Business. This unique program stands as one of only two undergraduate science degrees in Canada that merges financial analytics with computational data science.
By blending computational data sciences with business analytics, the program develops versatile graduates equipped with fundamental expertise in big data programming, data infrastructure, computational statistics, data mining, business analytics, and information systems management. These graduates gain the ability to transform complex data into compelling narratives through cutting-edge visualization techniques and strategic business intelligence communication.
Participants will develop specialized expertise in either Financial Analytics or Computational Sciences (covering areas like parallel computing, machine learning, AI, computational statistics, cybersecurity, financial risk management, fintech, and computational finance). The program offers both honours and co-op pathways within the Financial Analytics or Computational Data Sciences concentrations.
