Aristotle deemed politics the supreme discipline, acknowledging its vast and all-encompassing nature. Political scientists explore a broad spectrum of topics. These range from local government disputes to judicial conflicts; the debates and mechanisms that safeguard our national sovereignty; the fall of Communist regimes and efforts to create alternative political systems; how advocacy groups influence policy decisions; changes to voting systems; oversight of government employees; international legal frameworks; the balance between ethics and national priorities in global relations; and the extent to which individuals may resist unjust legislation. Studying Political Science empowers us to become more liberated individuals and engaged citizens, as it consistently examines the concepts, structures, and procedures that define our existence.
