The Interactive Arts and Science (IASC) program examines the connection between digital innovation and humanistic studies. This program equips future pioneers and researchers in digital media with essential skills. IASC combines scholarly learning with practical application, offering students opportunities to experiment with interactive technologies for examining, expressing, and illustrating concepts across various fields.
Through teamwork on interactive media projects, you'll develop an understanding of fundamental principles and creative techniques.
Aspiring media creators can select visual arts and theater classes; programming enthusiasts may opt for applied computing courses; while storytelling-focused students can explore English, Film, and popular culture studies. High-achieving seniors engage in a culminating production course, integrating design, artistry, narrative, interactivity, and technical execution into polished digital media projects.
IASC offers internship opportunities, allowing students to acquire real-world expertise by working with industry professionals and utilizing advanced tools in 3D design, motion tracking, visual effects, film production, and additive manufacturing.
Applicants must have
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD);
Minimum six Grade 12 4U or 4M-level credits, including program specific prerequisites.
A minimum admission average of 70% (many programs require a higher average)
English proficiency requirements
IELTS - overall 6.5, no band below 6.0
TOEFL - overall 88, no band below 21
CAEL - overall 70, no band below 60
PTE - 58
IELP Level 5 - Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
CAE (C1 Advanced): 176 minimum score
CPE (C2 Proficiency): 176 minimum score
