The Drama department provides a curriculum that blends hands-on theater experience with scholarly research in dramatic literature and theater history. Our goal is to enable undergraduate students to approach the field as a liberal arts subject while equipping them for advanced studies at graduate, professional, or conservatory institutions. Students can pursue Major or Honours programs that introduce them to diverse aspects of theater practice and scholarship, while allowing them to specialize in specific areas: Dramatic Literature and Theater History, Performance (including acting, directing, and playwriting), or Production (covering technical aspects, stage management, and design).
