The Business - Accounting Ontario College Diploma program combines accounting principles with practical industry tools. This two-year course prepares you for entry-level accounting roles by developing fundamental skills.
Master accounting procedures ranging from basic bookkeeping to financial statement preparation and personal tax filing. Broaden your understanding of key business areas like economics and financial management.
Develop accounting expertise while enhancing your communication, mathematics, and technology abilities. The curriculum includes accounting software training to boost your digital proficiency and provide current technical competencies vital for the profession.
During your final term, you can participate in a work placement to gain hands-on experience in an actual workplace. Check the Additional Information section for participation criteria.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent. Applicants with an OSSD showing senior English and/or Mathematics courses at the Basic Level, or with Workplace or Open courses, will be tested to determine their eligibility for admission; OR
Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate; OR
General Educational Development (GED) certificate; OR
Mature Student status (19 years of age or older and without a high school diploma at the start of the program).
Applicants with International transcripts must provide proof of the subject specific requirements noted above along with proof of either: IELTS-International English Language Testing Service-Overall band of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band; OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 80, with the minimum of 20 in each component: Reading 20; Listening: 20; Speaking: 20; Writing: 20.
