The FNSPCD certification is an independent credential designed for individuals pursuing careers in social policy and community development within First Nations communities. This includes social service professionals, government representatives, and students focused on policy and social studies. It's a joint initiative between CESD and the Ontario Native Welfare Administrators Association (ONWAA). Additionally, this certificate can serve as a stepping stone for students aiming to enroll in CESD or CDEV degree programs. The FNSPCD Certificate requires completion of 30 credits from courses including CESD 1006 or 1007, 1206, 1207, COSC 1701, CESD 2016, CESD 2306, CESD 2607 or CESD 2996, CESD 2206, CESD 3216, plus 3 elective credits chosen from: CESD 2017, 3456, CESD 3906/3907 Selected Topics in CESD, or another relevant course approved by the CESD Department.
