The Associate of Arts is a two-year undergraduate degree available at numerous institutions across British Columbia and other regions. This program aims to deliver comprehensive learning that prepares students for advanced education or professional opportunities. Those enrolled in the Associate of Arts (Sociology) will acquire interdisciplinary expertise in arts, humanities, and social sciences while honing their analytical and investigative abilities.
Students can tailor their studies with a sociology specialization, delving into various sociological fields such as theoretical frameworks, research methodologies, Canadian social structures, cultural trends, criminal behavior, and collective activism.
Sociology examines the relationship between people and their communities. For those curious about how social factors like gender, race, economic status, cultural background, and belief systems shape personal decisions and societal conditions, pursuing sociology offers valuable academic exploration.
