The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program involves guided original research, designed for individuals who possess some research background but aren't yet qualified for direct PhD admission. Compared to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), an MPhil requires less extensive research. In certain situations, students can transition from an MPhil to a PhD program.
