The Sociology major offers comprehensive instruction in sociological methods, theories, and key modern sociological fields. Alongside core social science courses covering fundamental methods and theories, students pursuing this major can explore various sociological themes. These include social inequalities, deviant behavior, identity formation, gender studies, religious sociology, medical sociology, ethnic relations, migration patterns, family dynamics, and other relevant topics.
Students must have Successful completion of Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
