The Sociology Major starts with foundational concepts – introducing students to applying sociological perspectives to modern societal structures, while emphasizing key ideas: how social norms are constructed, how identities develop within social frameworks, and how power operates through spatial organization and knowledge formation.
Sociological knowledge is essential across public service, environmental fields, community organizations, and service industries, equipping students with analytical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and social research skills.
