Social Anthropology examines human societies and their cultural systems.
Key study areas encompass the evolution of anthropology as a field; cultural impacts of globalization; structures of power and governance; gender studies; concepts of identity and community; ethnographic research techniques; and relationships between indigenous groups and modern states. Particular emphasis is placed on the cultures of Australasia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region, along with intercultural exchanges occurring at both worldwide and community scales.
This program aims to develop students' cross-cultural understanding while delivering comprehensive training in research methodologies and ethical practices applicable across diverse professional and academic settings.
