Social Anthropology explores human societies and their cultural systems. The Anthropology program enables students to analyze social structures across different societies, identify cultural parallels and distinctions, and comprehend how humans construct social organization and meaning.
Key study areas encompass anthropology's historical development; cultural impacts of globalization; systems of power and governance; gender studies; concepts of identity and community; ethnographic research techniques; and relationships between indigenous populations and modern states. Special emphasis is placed on cultures from Australasia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region, along with intercultural exchanges occurring at both global and community scales.
This program aims to develop students' cross-cultural understanding while delivering comprehensive training in research methodologies and ethical practices applicable to diverse professional and academic settings.
