Program objectives
VU's innovative Master of Research enables students to conduct and finalize a supervised research project at master's level (AQF 9). The program accomplishes this through introductory coursework units focusing on: a) research process fundamentals and expectations, and b) relevant disciplinary specialization when applicable. (Note: Students entering the MRes program with varying qualifications may qualify for Advanced Standing in certain units. For instance, candidates with an AQF Level 7 degree in their chosen research field may receive Advanced Standing for one disciplinary studies unit.) The research journey includes structured milestones to ensure continuous support and timely, high-quality project completion.
