At Victoria University, your Master of Research journey will be customized based on your educational background. You'll develop essential expertise in research ethics and project planning before advancing to specialized research methodologies or discipline-specific components. Upon maintaining a 70% average in coursework, you'll embark on self-directed research in your chosen area of specialization.
VU's innovative Master of Research enables students to conduct and finalize a supervised research project at AQF Level 9. The program features introductory coursework units focusing on: a) research process fundamentals and expectations, and b) relevant disciplinary specialization when applicable. (Note: Students entering with varying qualifications may qualify for Advanced Standing in certain units. For instance, candidates with an AQF Level 7 degree in their research field may receive credit for one disciplinary studies unit.) Structured milestone requirements provide ongoing support, ensuring research quality and timely completion.
