It's one of several tailored master's programs designed for graduates with diverse academic backgrounds.
Program highlights
VU's innovative Master of Research Practice enables students to conduct and finalize a supervised research project at master's level (AQF 9). The program achieves this through introductory coursework units that explore a) research process fundamentals and expectations, and b) relevant disciplinary specializations when applicable. Structured milestone requirements provide ongoing support, ensuring high-quality research submissions within designated timelines.
Upon successful completion, graduates will be able to:
Exhibit in-depth knowledge of core principles and contemporary discussions surrounding research ethics and integrity;
Understand applicable national guidelines and institutional policies affecting research conduct across various environments;
Recognize critical ethical considerations specific to their research field;
Evaluate and select appropriate solutions for ethical challenges that may emerge during research;
Articulate and justify ethical positions relevant to their research practice and project design; and
Enhance advanced academic communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
