VU stands at the forefront of sports education. Our Sport Science (Human Movement) and Sport Management programs equip students with advanced skills in biomechanics, exercise guidance, recreational activity planning, and sports administration.
With more than 200 collaborative relationships across sports facilities, athletic organizations, municipal agencies, and health/education institutions, students benefit from top-tier mentorship and practical industry exposure.
Graduates emerge fully prepared for diverse careers in the sports and fitness sector, possessing the expertise to oversee large-scale athletic events, manage sports complexes, aquatic facilities, professional teams, and fitness centers.
Upon completing this program, graduates will demonstrate the ability to:
Synthesize strategic planning concepts, operational leadership, fitness evaluation techniques, training requirements, program development, service implementation, performance analysis, and relevant business/exercise science fundamentals with specialized expertise in sports, fitness, and recreational activities;
Evaluate and adapt theoretical frameworks and practical competencies to effectively administer sports/recreation services and professionally implement exercise/fitness regimens across various environments;
Assess and utilize information with critical thinking and innovation to proactively address challenges in modern sports, exercise, and recreation management and service provision;
Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) including Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English (or equivalent). OR: Completion of an Australian Advanced Diploma or Diploma (or equivalent). OR: Completion of a Foundation course or equivalent.
English language requirements
IELTS (Academic module): Overall score of 6.0 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL Internet: Overall score of 67 (Listening 12, Speaking 18, Reading 15, Writing 21)
Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score of 50 (no section score less than 50)
University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 169. No individual band less than 169.
VU English - English for Academic Purposes (EAP) (Level 4): achieved.
