The Master of Research program focuses on research and research training, requiring students to complete 96 credit points. The initial year involves 48 credit points of research preparation and coursework, followed by a second year dedicated to a 48-credit-point thesis evaluated by two external assessors. Academic departments may grant exemptions for the research training and coursework portion, determining the suitable starting level.
Within the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, students can specialize in: Education; Public Health; Arts and Humanities; or Creative Arts.
Applicants must have a Bachelor or Masters coursework degree from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum Credit average (65% or a GPA 3.0 out of 4.0).
